MAKANI's story
Meet the adorable Makani! He is a 3 year old, 48 pound, neutered male Husky who is looking for his forever home. Makani can be a little stand-off-ish at first meeting, but if you go slow and are patient then you will see the real Makani. He is a bouncy and energetic guy who will need a lot of fenced in space to run and exercise. He also likes going for walks, playing with toys, and playing in water. Makani will need to go to a home that has Husky experience and understands the breed. He has also lived with other Husky's in the past and met other big dogs here at the Shelter and did well, but would need to meet any potential doggy housemates. Makani would not do well in a home with small dogs or cats. If you have a big heart and can give this big guy the home he needs, then please come to the Shelter to meet Makani. The fee to adopt Makani is $150 *All adoption candidates have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, flea treated and wormed! Adoptions include a free veterinary exam, one year license, two one-hour training sessions with Dog E University, and a coupon for the Feed Corral. If you have other dogs or small children, we ask they come for the meet and greet; dogs in the home must be current on their rabies vaccination, and licensed with the shelter; and if you rent, we need landlord permission for the adoption by either phone, email, or copy of a rental agreement.
